AccuSpec Electronics is a full service EMS provider In Erie, PA conveniently located at the intersection of I-79 and I-90, centrally. Our focus is providing value-add services to customers with high-reliability requirements – Aerospace, Defense, Industrial Controls and Transportation. Included in our portfolio of capabilities are PCB Assembly and Test, Cable Assembly and Test, and System Level Assembly and Test.
Established 1989 in 5,000 square foot facility located in McKean, PA by founder Ernie Carlson and two business partners to provide mechanical and value-added services for local customers. McKean, located just 3 miles from our current location, was chosen because it is centrally located between Buffalo, Cleveland and Pittsburgh.
Accuspec moved into a new 10,000 sq. ft. facility. The facility was added onto twice over the next 10 years to over 27,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing space
After some success and upon customer recommendations, our first SMT line was added in 1995. The addition of SMT capability began the AccuSpec transformation into to a full service EMS provider.

Needing more capital to support increasing customer demand for services, the business was sold to Main Street Capital of Pittsburgh, PA.
AccuSpec installs Infor (Syteline) as its enterprise resource planning tool.
AccuSpec receives Infor Enterprising Excellence Award for Operational Excellence for the implementation and use of technology with the Syteline enterprise software system.
AccuSpec obtained ISO 13485:2003 Certification
Accuspec receives ITAR registration from United States Department of State
AccuSpec receives the Technology and Business Award from START IT Magazine for superior success in using technology to help transform critical business processes
In 2009 we moved into a new 60,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility at 8140 Hawthorne Drive in Erie, PA. We increased our SMT capacity from two lines to four. Additionally we added more automated through-hole and value-add capabilities, including conformal coating, potting and engineering services such as test development.

AccuSpec receives "Forever Green Award" from the Lake Erie Companies for use of technology to eliminate waste
AccuSpec is nominated as Business Times Manufacturer of the Year. AccuSpec receives the award for small manufacturer with 50 to 300 employees.
In 2012, after continued success, AccuSpec is acquired by the Armstrong Group of Companies.
In 2013 AccuSpec receives AS:9100C certification to focus and continue its growth servicing Tier I and Tier II Aerospace OEM’s
